Art Schlichter is the founder and director of Gambling Prevention
Awareness.  He is a former Ohio State University All American
quarterback and 1st round NFL draft pick for the Baltimore Colts.
As a young man, Art became a compulsive gambler.  His
addiction drove him to commit crimes of fraud and forgery for
which he has paid a high personal and professional price.  Art
was incarcerated for over 10 years in more than 40 federal and
state prisons, which along with his gambling history, contributed
to the fracturing of his family life. Once a celebrated athlete, Art
lives with the reality of the lost opportunity for a successful
professional football career.
By telling his heartfelt story, Art's audience will recognize the
signs of gambling turning to addiction and be able to create a
personal plan for problem gambling prevention.
